- Notes and reminders are free, always. The AI features need a subscription, which starts with a 14-day free trial.
- A subscription renews by itself, and you cancel it in the store — not with us.
- Your notes are yours and live on your phone. We hold no copy, so a backup is yours to make.
- The AI part needs the internet and can be wrong. Nothing here promises it always works.
1. Who provides Rememind
Rememind is made and provided by Katerina Aleshchyk, an independent developer based in Batumi, Georgia ("we"). These terms are the agreement between you and us about using the Rememind app. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.
How your data is handled is a separate document: the Privacy Policy.
2. What Rememind is
Rememind is a notes and reminders app that runs on your phone. Dictation, filing, the tidy-up suggestions and the AI search are the parts that cannot run on the device: they go to a small service we operate and on to our AI provider, and they need an internet connection. Everything else — writing, reading, reminders and the alarms behind them — works offline.
It is a tool for keeping your own notes. It is not a medical, legal, financial or emergency service, and a reminder is not a guarantee that a phone will ring: an alarm depends on your phone's own settings, its battery rules and its clock.
3. Using the app
You may use Rememind for anything lawful. You may not use it to store or produce content that is illegal where you are, reach our service by any route other than the app, automate or repeat requests in order to run up the AI usage, or work around the limits in section 4. The service counts requests per installation and may refuse or slow down one that is behaving abnormally.
4. What is free, what a subscription buys
Writing and reading notes, reminders and their alarms, photos, the word search and the export are free and stay free: they run on your phone, nothing counts them and they do not expire.
The AI features — dictation, filing a note into a space, the tidy-up suggestions and the AI search — need an active subscription. They begin with a free trial of 14 days: nothing is charged during it, and at its end it becomes a paid subscription unless it is cancelled (section 5). Each App Store or Google Play account can take the trial once. The exact length, the price afterwards and the date of the charge are shown in the app and in the store before you confirm; if a store ever offers a different length, the store's figure is the one that applies.
A subscription sets how many dictations and how many minutes of audio you get per billing period, how long a single recording may be, and how many AI searches. The allowances of each plan are shown in the app, on the subscription screen, before you buy. On every plan, and during the trial, there is also a ceiling of 25 AI searches a day as a safeguard against runaway use.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
A subscription is bought inside the app through Apple's App Store or Google Play, and it is they who charge you, under their own terms. The price shown in the app is the store's own price for your country and currency.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before it renews. You cancel in the store — on iOS under Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions — never with us, and uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
The free trial lasts 14 days and turns into a paid period automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. The app sends one notification about two days before that happens.
Refunds are the store's. Your payment never reaches us, so we cannot refund it: a request goes to Apple or Google under their refund policy. Your rights as a consumer are unaffected.
6. Your content
Everything you create in Rememind is yours. We claim no rights over it, and — having no copy of it — we cannot recover it for you.
A backup is yours to make. Settings → "Save a copy" writes everything the app holds into a single file you can keep wherever you like. A phone that is lost, broken or reset takes its notes with it unless such a file exists. That file is not encrypted, so keep it as carefully as you keep the phone.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, add or remove features, and we may change the AI provider behind dictation, filing and search. The AI service can be unavailable, slow or simply wrong: it is a machine writing down what it heard and guessing where it belongs. Nothing here promises uninterrupted service.
If a paid feature is withdrawn while you are paying for it, you may cancel, and where the store's rules allow, ask them to refund the unused part.
8. If you got the app from the App Store
Where Rememind was obtained from Apple's App Store, the following applies: this agreement is between you and us and not with Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple, Apple will refund the purchase price, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product liability, a failure to conform to a legal requirement, or a claim under consumer protection or privacy law, nor for a third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
You also confirm that you are not located in a country under a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
9. Liability
Rememind is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for a reminder that did not arrive; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any consumer right that cannot be waived.
10. Ending it
You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription in the store and uninstall the app, which removes everything it stored on your phone. We may withdraw access to the AI service from an installation that is abusing it as described in section 3.
11. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else whose law gives you protections that an agreement cannot set aside, those protections continue to apply and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your own country.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change that affects what you are paying for will be announced in the app before it takes effect, and it never applies to a period already paid for.
